Iberia Maintenance is honored to invite Aero-Engines Europe attendees to tour the Iberia Maintenance Engines Shop. Established in 1975, it supports the carriers of International Airlines Group (IAG) parent company—Iberia, British Airways, Aer Lingus and Vueling – along with a growing customer base of non-IAG airlines worldwide, and leasing customers providing specialized services on CFM56-5B, CFM56-7B, V2500 and RB211-535E4 to which the GTF and LEAP will soon be added.The 52,560 square meters shop and testing bench with a capacity of 90,000 pounds of thrust are located in the Iberia Maintenance facilities close to Madrid Barajas airport. In 2022, Iberia installed solar panels on its 20,000 square meters Engine Shop to achieve more energy self-sufficiency as part of its goal to reach zero net emissions by 2050.

Delegates will do the “Engine Journey” from Disassembly to Cleaning, Inspection, Repair, to Modular Assembly and Engine final Assembly. Delegates will become familiar with the Iberia Maintenance product portfolio and strengths of such experience, staff expertise and state of the art tooling and machinery through the explanations given by the tour guides, specialists on the different fields of the Engine Shop (Engineering, Planning, Transformation etc).
